As part of the DAPHNE III Program of the European Union, PAPATYA is project partner for the project

A-Z to safety

A-Z to Safety aims to create safe environments for women and girls; combat and prevent injustice against women and girls from violence linked to harmful practices (VHP) and uphold the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union.

Throughout the 2-years project the 6-member partnership based in the UK, Germany, Austria, Bulgaria and Turkey will

  • prevent, and protect women and girls from harmful practices by giving advice, guidance and counselling
  • empower women and girls through skills development to increase their confidence, self-esteem, employability and financial independence
  • raise awareness and increase the accessibility of services for women and girls through workshops for communities as well as for professionals
  • ensure sustainability of services through improved data collection, training and dissemination of good practice as well as campaigning and lobbying politicians and legislative bodies to ensure safe safety for our beneficiaries.
